“Building Nation: A 911 Call”
Psalm 33:12-22 and Matthew 11:28-30
We live in a “free” country. True freedom means taking stands that are sometimes not popular and are not easy. But these stands become the foundation for our freedom. What are some of the stands we need to address?
Sermon Series: “Heroes: Faith in Action”
I am convinced that “People are people” regardless of when they lived. What drives people - what makes them tick, and what tempts is the same whether they lived in 2100 B.C. (like Abraham) or 2008 (like you and I). For the next six weeks we will board our Biblical time machine and travel to the early years of the Old Testament and look at six very different personalities who could be called Heroes of Faith. While we may consider many Bible personalities as super human, they were in actuality ordinary persons who heard the voice of God and responded in extra unordinary ways. This series will continue into mid-August with sermons focusing on Samuel, King David, and King Jehosophat. Pastor Sam

In the familiar story of this super-strength strong man, we discover lessons to apply to our spiritual lives from his mistakes, and from the decisions he made at the end of his life.

“Ruth: Ordinary People - Extra Unordinary Love”
Ruth 1: 1 - 10, 16 - 18
Sometimes a hero’s strength isn’t seen in their muscles and daring feats, but in the example of sacrifice and love. These are hero qualities which God uses to transform us into Christ’s image.
