Next Sunday, Pastor Woody is offering you the chance to tell him “where to go”. An index card will be in next Sunday’s worship bulletin (November 13, 2011), and you may write down the following:

• Hymns you want to sing. He’ll choose the most popular and we’ll sing them in two weeks.
• Favorite Bible verses and stories. He’ll preach on these in January.

Over and over you see the youth on Sunday mornings and ask to have them be more involved in our worship. Well, on Sunday, October 30, 2011, we will observe Youth Sunday and the youth will take over and lead the service. They are working hard on their plans and we need to show them our support.

After Sunday School that morning, we will gather in the fellowship hall for beef and noodles, raising money for their Christmas shopping event in November.

This Sunday is World Communion Sunday and we will participate in a special service at the Lord’s table to celebrate our relationship with the Congo Church.

The Flora community will gather on September 11, 2011 at the city park, outside the Boy Scout Cabin, for a short time of prayer ande reflection to remember the events of 10 years ago. The time of remembrance will begin at 8:30 a.m. and be over by 8:50 in order for all to get to their churches in time for worship.

Come and join inthis time of remembering and relflecting. Pastor Woody will be conducting the service.

On July 2, 2011, we used our new video projection system for the first time! There are two projectors, and two screens: one over the choir loft, and one on the east wall over the sliding doors.

Come and check us out! We welcome visitors.

Next rehearsal: Wednesday, August 3 at 7 p.m.!

Our first Sunday to sing will be July 10 from 9:25 – 9:35.  

Come be a part of the Praise Team for summer worship!

• We are looking for people of all ages who love to sing and/or play musical instruments. We will sing at “gathering time” each Sunday morning for about 10 minutes beginning at 9:25 a.m. during July and August.

• Songs will include contemporary music and some old favorites!

• Rehearsal times(s) to be announced

• If you want to be a part of the praise team, have fun and lead the congregation in singing praises to our Lord (all at the same time!), come join us!

On June 12, 2011, we will dedicate our summer church campers during the worship service. Show them your support by being in church on the 12th.
