Community Choir Easter Cantata rehearsal starts February 5, from 2 – 4 pm at the United Methodist Church. This year, we will be singing “As Sure As My Redeemer Lives, So Shall I,” by Tony Wood and Robert Sterling.

Please join us for Sunday rehearsals through Palm Sunday, with sunrise service performance Easter Sunday, April 8!

Our own Miriam Robeson will be directing!

Rehearsals will be Sundays from 2 – 4 p.m. at Flora Methodist church. Rehearsals will be every Sunday except February 19, and possibly one of the Sundays on either side of Spring Break (to be determined after consultation with the choir).

Final rehearsal will be Saturday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m.

Committee chairmen will meet at 7 p.m. on January 9th to organize the committees.

Note: The following people went shopping: Nick & Rebekah Hoffman, Bill & Kimberly Stoddard, Ben, Damian, Catlain, Justin, Bethany and Emily. Due to other things going on, we didn’t have the lockin that night.

On Friday, December 9, our youth will go Christmas shopping to buy gifts for those in need. Then we’ll wrap the gifts. The high school youth will have a lockin afterwards.

• Meet at church 4:15 Friday afternoon
• We’ll leave at 4:30 to go to Wal-Mart to shop
• Come back to church for Pizza
• Wrap Gifts
• Those who need to may go to the Carroll basketball game
• Lockin for High School age youth.

The Flora community will gather at the Presbyterian Church for a joint worship celebration.

As a way of reaching out to our community, Flora First Christian Church invites you to “get your can to church” on October 30 and November 6.

• Bring 1 or 2 cans of food to church Oct. 30 or Nov. 6
• There is great need and we can respond and help feed our brothers and sisters!

Note: we helped 16 families with 32 children! Thanks to all for your help.

Please let Jorretta Tinsman know of any family who needs a gift basket or toys this year. We’ll try to help all those we can in our community!

• Dec. 15 Wrapping party for Christmas baskets at 7 p.m. Committee members please come early to set up tables.
• Dec. 17 Distribution of Christmas baskets. Committee members – please be there at 8 a.m. to prepare.
