6:30 p.m.

The dinner will be held in the fellowship hall. The dinner costs $9 for adults and teens, 1/2 price for kids 12 & under, and free for kids 4 and under. It will be catered by Custom Select Catering, with help serving from our men.

The program will  include special music by Kris Seward and her daughters Alivia and Joy.

There are signup sheets in the sanctuary and by the S.E. entrance.

14 people, 50 years and older, came together last month for lunch at the church. They discussed the possibility of planning some future get togethers and all thought it was a great idea. So, on November 10, 2010 all in the church, and their friends, who fall into this category, are invited to meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. and then carpool to the “Whistle Stop” just north of Monon. The group will have lunch, and if anyone is interested, they can tour the railway museum.

Reservations are needed so the restaurant knows how many tables to set aside, so please sign up in the narthex or the sound board. Or, you may call the church at 967-4246.

At this gathering, plans will be made for future events, and we hope t0 choose an official name for the group.

Please come to our Open House on Tuesday, December 21 from 4 – 7.

Come whenever you can, stay as long as you like.

Pastor Woody and Barbara

There are a few things that you get to take advantage of as you grow a bit older. Early Bird discounts at restaurants. Discounts at movies. And lunch prepared by Pastor Woody!

On Wednesday, October 20, Pastor woody will fix a light lunch for any and all in the church (and friends) who are 50 years or older.

Starting at noon, the group will discuss the possibility of meeting on a monthly basis, taking short day trips, going out to lunch, and having great fellowship. You may sign up on the bulletin board or at the sound board, so that Pastor Woody knows how much food to  prepare.

Our annual Chili Supper

• TNT class will provide chili and drinks
• Please bring food to share (desert or side dishes)
• Bring lawn chairs

We cook the chili in a large pot over an open fire. Please come and enjoy the fellowship and a great meal!

The Christian Church in Indiana will hold its assembly in October, at Geist Christian Church. It will meet on Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2. Early Bird registration ends on Sept. 6. At the assembly, there will be interest groups, worship, mission opportunities, discovery sessions and an all assembly dinner and opening worship.
